Every Like, Love, Care, Haha, Wow, Sad, and Angry you have ever left on Facebook is still recorded. Anyone who can see the original post can see your reaction on it. After ten years on Facebook, that can mean thousands of small signals about your interests, politics, old relationships, and communities you have long since left.
This guide shows how to unlike a single post, how to find everything you have ever liked, and how to unlike all Facebook posts at once — or just the ones from a certain period or topic.
Why Unlike Old Facebook Posts?
- Old interests are still on display. Reactions to posts from past fandoms, political causes, or groups can be seen by the audience of those posts.
- Ex-partners and old friends. Years of hearts on someone's photos can be awkward after a breakup.
- A cleaner profile before a job search. Recruiters who look at public posts can see who reacted.
- Tidying your history. Likes make up a huge share of most people's Activity Log.
How to Unlike a Single Post
The quickest way is on the post itself:
- Find the post you reacted to
- Click or tap your reaction (the highlighted Like button)
- It turns back into a plain Like button — the reaction is removed
To change a reaction instead of removing it, hover over the button (desktop) or press and hold it (app) and pick a different one. Facebook's help page on how to remove or change a reaction covers both.
How to Find Everything You Have Liked
You cannot scroll back to every post you ever reacted to. Activity Log keeps the list:
- Click your profile picture → Settings & privacy → Activity log
- Open Interactions → Likes and reactions
- Use the date filter to jump to a specific year
Each entry has a ⋯ menu with Unlike or Remove reaction. That works — but only one item at a time, with a menu, a click, and a page refresh for each one.
What About Liked Pages?
Liking a Facebook Page is different from liking a post. A Page like is closer to a follow. To remove it, open the Page, click Liked or Following, and choose Unlike or Unfollow.

How to Unlike All Facebook Posts at Once
DeleteActivity is a browser extension that works through the Likes and reactions list for you. It uses your logged-in Facebook session — no password — and runs locally in your browser. The workflow below was verified with version 1.9.0 in September 2026.
Step 1 — Install and Open Facebook
Install DeleteActivity from the Chrome Web Store and open facebook.com in the same browser.
Step 2 — Select Only Likes
Click the DeleteActivity icon. All three data types are selected by default — untick Posts and Comments so only Likes stays selected.
Step 3 — Choose a Range
- All unlikes everything DeleteActivity can find in your Activity Log.
- A Date Range limits it to a period, such as 2010–2016.
- A Keyword limits it to liked posts whose text contains that word or phrase.
Step 4 — Start Scan and Clean
Click Start Scan and Clean. DeleteActivity removes the likes and reactions that match your selected date range and keyword. Removed likes do not go to Trash, so run a small range first if you are unsure.
Step 5 — Let It Run
Keep the Facebook tab open. The progress panel shows how many reactions were removed and lets you Pause, Resume, or Stop at any time. DeleteActivity paces the requests and cools down automatically between batches.

A note on keywords: DeleteActivity matches the text Facebook shows for each liked post — the post text or the title of a shared link. Photos without a caption have no text to match, so use a date range for those.
Free vs Pro for Likes
Likes add up faster than posts or comments. The free plan removes 30 items per day, and an unfinished run can be continued the next day with Resume. If you are clearing years of reactions, Pro removes the daily limit.
FAQ
Can I unlike all Facebook posts at once?
Not with a single Facebook control — the native workflow generally requires repeated per-item actions. DeleteActivity automates it: select Likes, choose a range, and click Start Scan and Clean.
Does the person know when I unlike their post?
Facebook normally does not send a new notification solely because you remove a like or reaction. The post author may still have seen the original notification or your reaction before it was removed.
Does this remove Love, Haha, and other reactions too?
Yes. DeleteActivity removes likes and all reaction types on posts.
Can I get my likes back after removing them?
No. There is no Trash for likes. You would have to react to each post again.
Will unliking old posts change what I see in my feed?
It removes one of the signals Facebook uses, but your feed depends on many others, like who you interact with now and what you watch.
